In order to use the Swisscom Home App, these requirements must be met:
- Internet access from Swisscom
- Internet box from Swisscom
- Up to date smartphone operating system
- Internet box admin password
- Stable home WLAN network (after the first login, the Home App can also be used while on the road).
Internet-Box:
The Home App is compatible with the following Internet boxes:
- Internet-Box 4
- Internet-Box 3
- Internet-Box 2
- Internet-Box Plus
- Internet-Box Standard
- Internet-Box light
Other Swisscom routers, such as Centro Business 1 & 2 and Centro Grande are not supported.
Due to hardware requirements, the full range of functions can only be used with the Internet-Box 4, 3 and 2 models. The following functions are not supported by older Internet-Box models:
- Advanced WLAN test
Smartphone operating system:
The following operating systems are fully supported by the Home app:
- iOS 13 and higher
- Android 8 and higher
Older versions that can still be used but are no longer provided with new updates from Home App version 11.12.3 (iOS) / 11.12.4 (Android):
- iOS 12
- Android 5, 6 & 7
The following functions are not supported by older operating system versions:
- Advanced WLAN test
- Landline calls via Home App while on the move
